Get More Traffic to Your Blog
April 17, 2007
So, you want some more traffic for your blog? First and foremost, you want the right traffic! All the visitors that come to your site, you want to keep. You want them to come back and visit you again, not run away from your blog as fast as possible. So the first step is, get visitors by building content. Before you do anything, have at least a week or two weeks worth of posts.
If you’ve got that, you’re ready to move on! First, and this is more obvious, you want to submit your blog to some of the big search engines, like Google, for one. So go around and submit to all the search engines you can, all the ones that take links (most of the big ones do). And while you’re doing this, be sure to be adding fresh new content all the time. Search engines AND the new traffic you’ll be getting soon will love you for it!
Then submit to top lists, directories, and more. If you look at my sidebar of this blog, you’ll see buttons where people can vote for me for top lists. This really helps get new traffic. The more unique votes and views you have, the higher you go on the list. BlogTopList and BlogSkinny are great - they’ve got me some traffic for sure, and they won’t fail for you!
Link exchanges are always great to. Try to link to blogs that are similiar or related to the topic of your blog, and ask them nicely to link back to you. Be sure to show interest in them, and to have content. They won’t link to your blog if it’s not going be worthwhile!
A while back, I signed up for MyBlogLog. I didn’t really get into it until a few days ago, but now I wish I had started using it more sooner, because it can REALLY increase the traffic you get! When you view someone’s blog who has the “Recent Visitors” up (see my sidebar), your icon will appear. Then people can click and be directed to your profile, where your blog is listed. It’s a huge community and can draw in a lot of visitors, so I really recommend that.
Feedburner is great too. It mainly helps people keep in touch with your blog, which is important if you want the traffic you get to be coming back. I have Feedburner powered tools right here, including my “subscribe via email” form and subscription buttons in the sidebar. I never realized how handy it could be!
Let me tell you - getting traffic isn’t easy, especially for a newer blog or website. It requires a lot of time and hard work, but if you’re dedicated, you’ll do just fine. Remember to always write new content, because it keeps your visitors coming back. And whenever you can, sign up for a new directory or top list or whatnot, whether it’s big or small. If you’re determined and hardworking, your blog will be getting more traffic in no time!

Do Reviews and get Paid with Blogsvertise
April 11, 2007
Blogsvertise is a good way to make some money! All you’ve got to is sign up and wait for your blog’s approval. Then you will start to receive “assignments” once they approve you. They will send you a task, and to complete it you need to write about this task in your blog. I haven’t done any yet, but I will soon! They say on average, per review, you can earn $5-$15 dollars. I know a few people who have been doing well with Blogsvertise. All you need is a computer, email, and a blog. You don’t even need real writing skills! They’ll email you the tasks, you’ll go to your blog and post a review on whatever the assignment told you to. Then, you get paid on Paypal (yes you do need Paypal for it).
So it’s pretty simple, I think it has great potential for earning money, and maybe you could check it out. It might not be for everyone, but I think I’m giving it a shot. If I don’t like it, I’ll just leave and delete the old reviews I did! Check out Blogsvertise now.

Charitable Advertising with Kumomo
April 10, 2007
What is this Kumomo thing, anyway? It’s a new program for advertisers and publishers, and I think it has a lot of potential, even if they still have a few things to work out and a few more features to release before it’s fully ready.
If you’re a publisher and you have space, go ahead and sign up! Taking their virtual tour is a big help, and it tells you most of the things you need to know. Basically, you sign up, write some information and statistics on your site, figure out how much it’ll cost for someone to have their ad on your site (in weeks or months time), and how much you’d like to give to charity.
That’s the great part! Kumomo has the publishers determine the percentage of the cost of the ad space that will go to charity. Right now their main charity is to build a school that is needed. Anyway, when advertisers book a slot for their ad to be on your site, they pay the part that goes to charity. Then you work it out with the advertiser, get the rest of the money from them any way you agree on, and they’ll give you the ad to put on your site.
Right now it seems a little complicated but Kumomo is brand new. They’re working on it, and they’re working hard! I really like the whole charity aspect – it’s sweet and generous. That’s one of the main reasons I love it already. So you should check it out and be one of the first to join - you’ll want the headstart!
You look over in the sidebar of this blog and you’ll see my ad for Kumomo. It’s ready for anyone who wants to book it! If you want your ad to appear in that exact space, then just click on the sample ad. Or if you want to check out Kumomo, click there because it will take you to my profile on their site, where you can navigate around and learn all you need to about the program.
Any questions or comments on Kumomo, I’d love to hear them. So drop me some replies, and happy blogging! ;)

Let’s Link Exchange!
April 10, 2007
Link Swap with Super Blogging!
currently closed.
So you want to link exchange with this blog, Super Blogging? What are the benefits of link exchanging, you ask? Well, I will link to your blog and you will link to mine. It is always better to have more people link to you, and besides that, if anyone comes to my site, sees your link, and clicks on it, they’ll visit YOUR site! And that means you’ll have another visitor and more traffic potential. To find out more, click here.
If you’re ready to link exchange, first there’s a rule. Currently I’m only linking to blogs that are RELATED to mine. That means they need to be on the same or similar topic. Like making money online, Google Adsense, online advertising, and more… Please read around this blog a little if you need to know more of what it’s about, and maybe even see some of my link exchanges under “Related Sites”. If I don’t feel your blog is related enough, I will just not add your link up. If your site works, continue.
So your blog is related to mine. Great! That means we can have a link exchange. Go ahead and put up the link to my blog, Super Blogging - http://super-blogging.blogspot.com - in your affiliates, blogroll, whatever you call the list of other blogs you link to. Make sure where you link to me is visible in every page of your blog (the sidebar, for instance).
After you have my link up (and made sure it’s working properly), post a comment to THIS post. Leave the URL to your blog’s homepage/main page and also leave the title of it - what you’d like me to name it as in my “Related Sites” column. When you’re all done, I’ll check the comment, and if your site is great and you have my link up, I’ll add your blog to my site!
It’s really not that complicated. Just make sure you have my link up and that you give me the address and name of your blog. Obey the rules and you’re in. I take new blogs, old blogs, all blogs as link exchanges, as long as they’re related topic to mine. Happy blogging!
