BEASISWA, you’re right, the link WAS broken. Thanks for taking the time to use my referral code, however, I’m not using BlogMad.net any longer. I have found that it takes hours to get enough credits on these types of sites to get in traffic in return, and then that traffic isn’t valuable because it doesn’t convert into loyal readers or customers.

I actually wrote this back in May 2007, so my current advice to you would be to use sites like StumbleUpon to get your traffic. Social media and networking with others is essential. Good luck, and thanks again!

the post - doesn’t work. I pulled the blogmad ref link out of your link
and used your referral. But your tracking or something is messing it up.

@Matt Ellsworth - If you’ll read the above comment, you’ll see that I wrote this article in May - many months ago - and I no longer agree with what I’ve said here. I think there are better ways to get traffic without working so hard for it.

However, I do appreciate you using my referral link - that was very kind of you! I guess it’s not working because I haven’t used my account for so long, but I’m not sure. :)

Jenny, I stopped using BlogMad too. I wrote this post back in May and my opinions have quite changed, actually. It takes quite a bit of time to earn up credits to get traffic in return, and one-way traffic can be achieved much easier with less effort. Now I just think BlogMad is a waste of time. :)

Rob - True, while many of the visitors just want credits, I’ve had quite a few ask me questions about my site and be interested after coming across it using BlogMad. I have also found some other sites I enjoy on there! So far so good… ;)

I am not a fan of traffic exchanges myself for two reasons, one I found that the visitors that I used to attract were not really interested in my site, just wanted to earn credits for their own sites, and two I was always fearful that Google AdSense would ban me if I used them! I am however interested to see how you go with it.
