Cheers to my New Domain!

I’m so happy I could just scream! I finally have my new domain set up and ready (that’s right, you’re looking at it). I know I haven’t posted in some time but I’m back and ready to roll. I moved from a free Blogger blog to a self-hosted Wordpress blog, and there was a lot of work and I lot of things I had trouble with. My main trouble that kept me busy these past couple of days was importing my old posts, but I finally got it after I changed some of my blog’s permissions so Wordpress could access it. Luckily I had a lot of kind people help me along the way of my transition, and I want to thank them all.

These are all people who have answered many questions I’ve had, helped me through the process of switching, given me helpful suggestions, wished me luck, etc. I’m really sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone; I’ve been under a lot of stress lately and there have also been 3 birthdays in my family in 4 days! But I think I’ve got it mainly under control now… ;)

 I still have a lot of things to add to my new blog, and still some things to switch over and tweak, but I’ve got all the big important stuff done and here I am! I’d really love some suggestions on a contest I could hold to help me get people to notice my new blog and to get a lot of my links back. I really like the idea of Kumiko’s contest when she got her new domain, but I don’t want to copy her. Any ideas?

    So many blogs are having a contest now. I am actually sick of seeing them. That doesn’t mean that I am not going to participate though. :)

    People love getting something for nothing!

    Andy - Yeah, I’ve noticed it too. The contests are really picking up - they help the people who enter and the person who runs them though, so I guess they’re a good thing. Anyway, I’m going to need some way to gain my old stats back!

    Andrew - Thanks. I can’t wait until a couple weeks have passed and I’ve got mainly everything done. I’m having trouble with a couple plugins that I want that don’t seem to want to work for me. They either don’t show up or give me errors. I hope I have those straightened out soon!
