Add Your URL to SEO Friendly Directories FREE

Backlinks are a huge part of being successful when you’re a blogger. The more links you have, the higher you rank and the better PageRank you get. So if you haven’t been working extremely hard on gaining backlinks and you’ve just been going with the flow and waiting for the links to come to you, then all I have to say is, you’d better start.
AddURL.nu is a great site that currently contains close to a thousand “100% SEO friendly, free, non-redirect, non-reciprocal, and general” directories. Whenever you submit to one of these directories that AddURL lists, that’s another backlink gained. If you submitted to all of the directories, then you’d have nearly a thousand extra backlinks.
But of course, manually submitting to each of those directories yourself would take a while. If you don’t have the time but you’ve got the money, AddURL.nu’s owner charges $290 and he will hand submit your site or blog to every single directory listed. You can use four different titles and two different descriptions. It’s important to not just work on one keyword, but several (more on this later). But of course, most bloggers don’t have the money. But if you don’t, that’s okay. Still do try to submit to as many directories as you can whenever you have the free time.
Whenever you enter in your information to submit to the directory, under site title don’t enter your blog’s name - enter its keywords. For example, this blog is called Super Blogging. But when I submit to directories, I target my keywords. Under the title I use things like ‘Make Money Blogging’, ‘Free Blogging Tips’, etc. That’s right, on different directories I use more than one. Don’t just submit the same title every time - try to evenly spread out submitting under around four different keywords. Varied anchor text is important.
And usually directories offer your link to be featured, free, or reciprocal. Never buy a featured link, and don’t link back to them for a link (which is reciprocal). Instead, just take the free one. All the directories can be, and are, FREE.
Building links isn’t easy, unless you cheat and do one of those viral trains. I made the mistake of doing one, and I hate myself for it. Don’t get tangled up in one of those. Instead, do one of the best things you can do for getting backlinks to your blog and go with AddURL.nu. I promise you that if you stick to submitting to all the listed directories, not a minute of your time will be wasted. Every single link is worth it.

Al this while i have been searching for ways to promote the products online. As a beginner and novice to this area, i never wanted to spend money on internet advertising. So my task was finding the most cost effective ways to reach my audience. Seen and read varied ideas…lots of them are useful….even this tip looks pretty useful…but i need to delve in further………
@Guru - Directories aren’t usually the best for getting traffic or exposure, because people don’t read them. Directories ARE great for getting backlinks though. For people to recognize you just maintain an awesome site with fantastic content, and try interacting and communicating with others as well. Best of luck! :)

I did the exact same thing when I was a newer blogger. I had been targeting the keyword “make money blogging”, and I was doing really well. I even hit the first page of Google for it for a short time - but then I made the mistake of using that keyword in a viral train. Of course Google found out and penalized me for that keyword - I ruined everything.

Hi this is a great post and I actually started submitting my URL but wow, what a tedious mission. Is it rally worth all the trouble. What is the Viral Train which should be avoided at all costs?
Great tips. Tedious as all hell but worth a good effort in order to drive some decebt traffic. It just takes A LOT of man hours and you have to KEEP submitting and submitting to as many as humanly possible.
