Adding a Ping List to Your Blog

Add a ping list to your blog. Anytime you write a new post, all the sites below will ping your blog and alert blog search engines and related sites. Pinging lets others know you’ve updated. Very cool and sends traffic. After all, that is what we all want and need. I am in the process of starting 2 new blogs and have added all these links. There are lots of others but these will get you started.

Thanks for the great list. But does the ping services you listed have repeated search engine in their services? Will it become like spamming if it does?

Thanks for the guest post, Vicky, especially at a time when I could not write myself!
@David - Personally, I manually ping at pingoat.com. Some of these, like Pingomatic, ping multiple search engines. Others like the Technorati one just ping Technorati. To be honest with you, I’m not sure if it could be considered spam. That’s something I’d better check up on. Thanks for pointing this out.
