Super Blogging Sports a New Look!

March 5, 2008

newlook.png I’ve been waiting to share this with you, my readers, for a long while now and I’m really excited that I finally get to! I’ve been hinting at a lot of surprises lately, which have included things like the guest posting competition, but the biggest thing I meant was this - that Super Blogging is now sporting a new look!

The design is the popular Revolution News Theme, which I have drooled over ever since I first laid eyes on it. However, I never would have this gorgeous theme for my blog if it weren’t for The Blog Entrepreneur’s contest, where the two winners got a Revolution theme of their choice.

So what do you think? Do you like it? I personally feel that it looks a lot more organized and professional, and it also has a lot of advantages and opportunities that my old design didn’t. Of course, I’ll continue to tweak this theme throughout the time I use it, making it fit this blog and the needs of my visitors. So if you find anything that you have trouble with, anything that doesn’t work properly, or just something you don’t like, leave me a comment and let me know or reach me through my contact form and I’ll see what I can do to fix it.

Along with the new theme you’ll see that this blog is now running the OIOpublisher plugin, which is a must for ad management. This will make selling, buying, and keeping up with advertising a breeze. So if you’d like to purchase some ad space here at Super Blogging, check out the advertising page and the great deals we have to offer.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Bill from The Blog Entrepreneur for holding the Revolution Theme contest and giving me that much needed and hugely appreciated chance for winning a great design. If it wasn’t for him or his contest, this wouldn’t be happening right now as it is. So thank you!

    The design looks formal but let me tell you-with the new design,the images in the posts are little irritating.They were O.K with the old design…..every thing else is just fine! Anyways, CONGRATS!!

    @Satiricohen,

    Thank you, and thanks for stopping by and for your comment!

    @Rohit,

    Would you mind letting me know what’s irritating about the images, so I can do my best to fix it? I know that in some of the old posts the image formatting needs to be fixed so the text isn’t crammed up against the side - is that what you’re talking about? Or is it just the images on the blog in general? Thanks for your feedback and for helping me improve, I really appreciate it!

    Looks great. I also see you purchased OIO publisher. Your blog looks much more professional now. I’m also thinking to buy the revolution theme for some while…

    Hey Tay…. it looks great. Brian writes really clean code that is pretty easy to understand so you will be able to tweak it nicely once you figure out his code. Congrats on the new look…. I love the real clean and professional look that his themes give.

    Personally, I preferred the previous theme because I think it is more unique than this unless you start tweaking and modifying (which I am sure you will be doing). For starters, perhaps you might want to redesign the logo. Check out these good looking logos. You will also need to look into the various images used in the posts as the formatting might not be suitable for the current post width.

    Pablo, I just designed that logo for this theme and it was the look I was originally going for. I know it’s nothing extremely over the top or unique, but I was wanting something simple. I have designed some more web 2.0 logos in the past so I might get around to experimenting with making another one sometime in the future. That link to the logos page you sent me that very interesting and helpful, so thank you! As for the image formatting, that’s one problem I noticed which I’m also going to have to correct. It’s probably the biggest one so far, since a lot of the older posts with large images don’t look quite right. Thanks for your input, it was extremely helpful. I appreciate it! If you have anymore suggestions, let me know.

  17. Moin on March 6th, 2008 5:53 am

    Oh cool Theme, Tay!!! Congrats :DI’m going for a new one myself ;)

    Thank you very much, I’m glad you like it! I just checked out your blog’s current design and saw something new - I really like it! Let me know when you’ve gotten it all worked out.

    @Mark,

    Thanks! I agree, and thanks again for all the advice you’ve me concerning this theme - it’s been immensely helpful. Hopefully I’ll be able to return that favor. :)

  21. Tay on March 7th, 2008 2:06 pm

    @Moin,

    I think it looks excellent so far, you really made a good choice when it comes to the theme! I also can’t wait to see what the final product of the header looks like. I’ll be keeping a close eye on it, good luck! If you ever need anything, just let me know. :)

  22. Tibi Puiu on March 9th, 2008 5:50 pm

    Looks great from up here, but I preferred the previous theme. This design looks more like a portal then blog, but still, it looks very good. Good luck!

    @Tibi Puiu,

    Thanks for your input! I agree, it’s your not your average blog - but that’s one thing I like about it. It helps me feature better and multiple articles at once, instead of the most recent one. I will continue tweaking it though. Thanks for your comment!

  24. Koka on March 13th, 2008 10:09 pm
