This is a great theme. I agree that magazine themes are only suited to certain blogs - Navigation on blogs should be as simple and intuitive as possible and this is not always the case with magazine themes. I tend not to stay on these sites as long - it is often hard to even find your way to the previous post.

You’re completely right and purchasing a theme or getting a custom one designed is something I’d like to look into, but this theme is a temporary one until I can get that done. If you have any suggestions or recommendations for a good premium theme or a good designer, please let me know. Thanks for your input, it’s been really helpful!

Well…the overall colour of the sidebar is gray. The widgets have white background instead. Perhaps it might look better if the widgets come with the same gray background :D

While this theme is beautifully designed, I’m not a fan of established bloggers using free themes. You should have a theme that is unique, branded, and shows your vision for your site. Having a theme that anyone else can have won’t help to set yourself apart from the rest.

In regards to the magazine style theme, I’m a fan but also agree that they’re not right for every blog. I happen to be using one but I think it’s mostly because it’s a great organizational tool for me and my readers. :D

Hi Tay! You might be busy but you probably would want to look into finding a nicer colour blend for the sidebar and its contents. At the moment, it’s rather pale.

I really like the Revolution theme, but the magazine style isn’t a good fit for most blogs. In my opinion it was a bit confusing for yours, so I like the change.

Well, this (the PassionDuo theme) is all I have for now. I’d love to look into purchasing a customized one specially for this blog, but that might take me a little time. If you have any recommendations, let me know!
